Her clinical and psychotherapeutic work includes schema-based psychoeducational groups for children and parents based on her PhD research program, individual  psychotherapy  for  children/adolescents  and  adults.\nMoreover  she is scientific associate & trainer in the training program module CBT for children & adolescents, Department  of  Child  and Adolescent Therapy of the Institute of Behavioral and Research Therapy, Athens.\nWorkshop description:\nSchema Therapy has been proven to be an effective therapeutic model for a large range of psychopathology. There is a growing body of research indicating its effectiveness in children and adolescents. One of its crucial components and goals is the focus on the core emotional needs, their validation and fulfillment. Those needs are universal and of paramount importance for one’s mental health. The lack of fulfillment of those needs leads to the development of psychopathology and unhealthy life patterns. Especially, concerning children’s and adolescents’ mental health, the connection with their needs and the experience that they can ask for their fulfillment as well as the knowledge to whom they can turn to this, constitutes a key issue in Schema Therapy.\nThroughout the workshop, therapists are being introduced to limited-reparenting in meeting the core emotional needs of children and adolescents and the way they can train parents in doing so as well. In addition, the core emotional needs will be presented experientially one-by-one, and the participants will have the opportunity to experience the fulfilling of those needs as therapists and the implementation of parent’s training.
